Responsibilities
- Operate commercial vehicles safely and efficiently across New York metropolitan area
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation in compliance with DOT/FMCSA regulations
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections and report maintenance needs promptly
- Coordinate with dispatch team for optimal route planning and on-time deliveries
- Ensure secure handling of specialized freight (refrigerated, hazardous materials as needed)
- Uphold exceptional customer service standards during client interactions
- Participate in ongoing safety training and compliance updates
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable commercial driving experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Familiarity with NYC traffic patterns and delivery regulations
- Strong knowledge of FMCSA Hours of Service rules
- Basic mechanical troubleshooting skills for preventive maintenance
- Excellent communication and time-management abilities
- Flexibility to work variable shifts including early mornings and weekends
