Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks and trailers safely and efficiently on local routes.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper securing and safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate logbooks and electronic logging devices (ELD) compliance.
- Adhere to all DOT regulations, traffic laws, and company safety policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
- Current DOT Medical Card and clear driving record.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of driving experience preferred.
- Ability to work weekends and holidays as required.
- Basic mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting minor vehicle issues.
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and performing manual tasks.
