Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A CDL) for weekend deliveries across Long Beach and surrounding areas
- Conduct thorough pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate DOT logs
- Load/unload freight with proper equipment handling protocols
- Adhere to strict delivery schedules while maintaining safety standards
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding delivery status
- Perform minor maintenance checks and report vehicle issues promptly
- Support warehouse operations during off-peak hours as needed
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record (no more than 2 moving violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years commercial driving experience with hazmat endorsement preferred
- Ability to work Friday-Sunday shifts with occasional weekday availability
- Strong knowledge of Southern California roadways and traffic patterns
- Pass federal background check and DOT physical examination
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds repeatedly throughout shift
- Proficient in electronic logging device (ELD) systems
