Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks and vans safely and efficiently on assigned routes within the Indianapolis area and surrounding regions.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure DOT compliance and vehicle safety.
- Load and unload cargo accurately, ensuring secure placement and proper documentation.
- Maintain accurate logs and records of all deliveries, pickups, and vehicle mileage.
- Provide exceptional customer service to clients, ensuring timely and professional deliveries.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies at all times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch regarding delays, route changes, or mechanical issues.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT card) is mandatory.
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable commercial driving experience preferred.
- Must possess a clean driving record with no major violations or DUIs.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screen.
- Physically fit to perform the duties of the job, including lifting and climbing.
- Must be available to work weekends and holidays as required by the schedule.
