Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles to transport freight between distribution centers and client sites
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations, HOS compliance, and company safety protocols
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections and document vehicle maintenance logs
- Coordinate with dispatch team for efficient route optimization and delivery timelines
- Load/unload cargo with proper handling techniques and equipment operation
- Maintain accurate delivery records and customer communication logs
- Respond professionally to delivery exceptions and route adjustments
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable commercial driving experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate loading equipment (pallet jacks, forklifts)
- Strong knowledge of Maryland/NYC metropolitan area roadways
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening requirements
- Flexibility to work Saturdays/Sundays with occasional weekday availability
- Basic navigation skills and familiarity with ELD systems
