Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A CDL) for weekend deliveries and local routes
- Adhere to strict DOT regulations and maintain accurate logbooks
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections and basic vehicle maintenance
- Load/unload freight with proper equipment handling protocols
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding delivery status
- Ensure on-time delivery while prioritizing safety above all
- Participate in ongoing safety training and certification programs
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying weather conditions
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening requirements
- Familiarity with Georgia roadways and delivery zones
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills
- Basic mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting common issues
- Ability to work independently while following company protocols
