Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Box trucks, Flatbeds) for weekend deliveries throughout Washington DC metro area
- Load/unload cargo using pallet jacks and hand trucks with proper weight distribution protocols
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and electronic logging system compliance
- Perform pre/post-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs
- Adhere to strict DOT regulations and company safety policies
- Communicate effectively with dispatch team and clients regarding delivery status
- Navigate complex urban routes efficiently using GPS technology
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years commercial driving experience with verifiable references
- Current DOT medical certification and required endorsements
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs repeatedly and work in varying weather conditions
- Proficiency with electronic logging devices (ELD) and GPS navigation
- Strong knowledge of Washington DC traffic patterns and delivery zones
- Excellent time management and customer service skills
- Pass background check and drug screening
