Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A/B) to transport goods within Oakland and Bay Area routes
- Perform pre-trip inspections, maintenance checks, and ensure DOT compliance
- Load/unload cargo efficiently while maintaining inventory accuracy
- Adapt routes dynamically for traffic/weather conditions to meet delivery deadlines
- Maintain electronic logs (ELD) and complete required documentation
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery interactions
- Collaborate with dispatch team for real-time route optimization
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable commercial driving experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying weather conditions
- Pass background check and drug screening (FMCSA compliant)
- Knowledge of Bay Area geography and traffic patterns
- Strong communication and time management skills
- DOT medical certificate current and valid
- Experience with refrigerated/hazardous materials a plus
