Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles over 26,000 lbs GVWR
- Adhere to strict FMCSA regulations and HOS compliance
- Complete pre/post-trip inspections and documentation
- Plan efficient routes using GPS technology
- Handle specialized freight including temperature-controlled loads
- Communicate with dispatch regarding delays or route changes
- Maintain clean driving record and safety certifications
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean 3-year MVR
- Minimum 2 years OTR experience
- Tanker or Hazmat endorsement preferred
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
- Strong knowledge of Virginia/North Carolina geography
- Basic smartphone proficiency for ELD logging
- No preventable accidents in last 12 months
