Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (53' dry van trailers) for regional deliveries
- Pre-trip/post-trip inspections and maintenance documentation
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations and company safety protocols
- Efficiently manage delivery schedules using GPS navigation systems
- Load/unload freight with proper equipment handling
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and paperwork
- Provide exceptional customer service at delivery points
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and warehouse teams
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record (no DUIs in past 5 years)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Knowledge of Columbus metro area and surrounding regions
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly
- Flexibility to work weekends/holidays during peak seasons
- Basic computer literacy for electronic logging devices
