Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles transporting goods across designated routes
- Conduct thorough pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate DOT logs
- Ensure compliance with FMCSA regulations and company safety protocols
- Load/unload cargo efficiently with proper handling techniques
- Communicate effectively with dispatch regarding delivery status and delays
- Report mechanical issues and maintenance needs promptly
- Maintain professional relationships with clients and warehouse staff
Qualifications
- Valid CDL Class A license with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable commercial driving experience
- Pass DOT physical and random drug screening
- Familiarity with electronic logging devices (ELD)
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds occasionally
- Strong time management and route navigation skills
- Commitment to safety and punctuality
- Flexibility for nights, weekends, and overnight trips
