Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles for regional freight transport
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and electronic records (ELD compliance)
- Inspect vehicles pre/post-trip to ensure DOT safety standards
- Coordinate with dispatch team for efficient route planning
- Handle hazardous materials endorsements when required
- Deliver freight on time while prioritizing customer satisfaction
- Adhere to all federal/state traffic regulations
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Knowledge of Jacksonville metro area and Southeastern routes
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills
- Flexibility for occasional overnight trips
- Basic smartphone proficiency for communication apps
- No preventable accidents in past 3 years
