Responsibilities
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure 100% compliance with DOT and FMCSA regulations.
- Safely operate commercial trucks to deliver freight to customers in New York and North Carolina.
- Load and secure cargo properly, ensuring weight distribution and cargo protection.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and all required documentation.
- Provide exceptional customer service and communicate effectively with dispatch and clients.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety policies, and company driving standards at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A or Class B required.
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no major violations in the last 3 years.
- Eligible to obtain and maintain a Department of Transportation (DOT) Medical Examiner’s Certificate.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of state and federal trucking regulations.
- Ability to pass a drug screen and background check.
