Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles to transport goods within NYC metropolitan area
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations, safety protocols, and delivery schedules
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and report maintenance issues promptly
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and electronic logs (ELD)
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and warehouse teams
- Manage time efficiently to meet delivery windows and optimize routes
- Represent Metro Transport Solutions professionally in all customer interactions
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable commercial driving experience
- Knowledge of NYC traffic patterns and delivery restrictions
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate loading equipment
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening requirements
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills
- Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, and occasional weekends
- Basic proficiency with electronic logging devices (ELD)
