Responsibilities
- Operate commercial motor vehicles (CMVs) safely and efficiently in accordance with FMCSA regulations.
- Load and unload cargo securely using proper equipment (chains, straps, tarps).
- Maintain accurate driver logs (ELD) and daily inspection reports (DVIR).
- Ensure timely delivery and pick-up of freight while adhering to route plans.
- Communicate professionally with dispatch, shippers, and receivers.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) issued by the state of Oregon.
- Air brakes endorsement (if applicable to vehicle type).
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable Class A driving experience.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (MVR).
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no major violations in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Strong understanding of DOT compliance and safety regulations.
