Responsibilities
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
- Safely operate commercial vehicles to deliver freight to designated customer locations within the Kansas City metro area.
- Load and unload cargo accurately and securely, ensuring proper weight distribution and securing loads to prevent damage.
- Maintain a clean and organized cab and truck interior, adhering to company appearance standards.
- Follow all traffic laws and company policies to ensure a safe driving environment for yourself and others.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers to coordinate schedules and resolve any delivery issues efficiently.
- Submit accurate daily logs and mileage reports in a timely manner.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A required.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (MEC).
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable commercial driving experience preferred.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening.
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws, DOT regulations, and safety procedures.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs repeatedly during the shift.
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
