Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles over long distances while adhering to DOT regulations
- Conduct pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance logs
- Load/unload freight efficiently with proper securing techniques
- Communicate with dispatch and clients regarding delivery status and route adjustments
- Uphall all safety standards and company policies during every shift
- Utilize GPS navigation systems to optimize delivery routes and timelines
- Represent Swift Transportation professionally with all stakeholders
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Clean driving record with no major violations in past 3 years
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Basic math skills for weight calculations and delivery documentation
- Flexible schedule availability including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Strong commitment to safety and customer service excellence
- Willingness to complete company-sponsored training program
- High school diploma or equivalent required
