Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles to transport goods across North Carolina and surrounding states
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections, documenting all vehicle conditions
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and electronic logging systems (ELD)
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations, safety protocols, and delivery schedules
- Coordinate with dispatch team for route adjustments and delivery confirmations
- Secure and unload cargo at various facilities using proper equipment and techniques
- Respond professionally to customer inquiries and delivery exceptions
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years of commercial driving experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical, drug screening, and background check
- Familiarity with ELD compliance and electronic logging systems
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and safety procedures
- Ability to work independently during overnight shifts (10 PM - 6 AM)
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and operate loading equipment
- Flexibility for occasional weekend and holiday shifts
