Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A/B CDL) on overnight routes between Louisiana and Florida
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations, safety protocols, and delivery timelines
- Conduct pre/post-trip inspections and document vehicle maintenance
- Load/unload freight with proper handling techniques and equipment
- Maintain accurate logs and delivery documentation using electronic systems
- Communicate effectively with dispatch team and clients during transit
- Respond proactively to route changes and weather conditions
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Minimum 1 year of verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Clean MVR with no major violations in past 3 years
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Flexibility to work overnight shifts (8 PM - 6 AM)
- Basic knowledge of Louisiana/Florida highway systems
- Strong attention to detail and safety compliance
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly
