Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks (Class A or B) safely and efficiently on designated overnight routes throughout Oklahoma City and surrounding regions.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT regulations and safety standards.
- Load and unload cargo securely, adhering to weight and balance requirements.
- Maintain accurate logs (ELD) and all necessary paperwork, including delivery receipts and billing documents.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding route changes, delays, or delivery issues.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company driving policies at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B CDL license (Class A preferred for this route).
- A current Medical Card (DOT physical) and a clean driving record (no more than 2 preventable accidents in the last 3 years).
- Previous experience in night shift driving is highly preferred.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Basic computer literacy for logging and reporting.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as required by the shift.
