Responsibilities
- Operate heavy-duty tractor-trailers in a safe and professional manner, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure equipment is in optimal condition.
- Load and unload freight efficiently and securely, ensuring cargo is protected during transit.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and documentation.
- Navigate routes effectively to meet delivery deadlines while maintaining high safety standards.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding shipment status and any delays.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A required.
- Must possess a clean driving record with no DUIs or major moving violations within the last 3-5 years.
- Night shift availability required (typically 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM).
- Physically fit to handle the demands of the job, including lifting and climbing.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Previous experience in regional or over-the-road driving is preferred but not always required.
