Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles for nighttime freight deliveries across Bay Area
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate delivery logs
- Adhere strictly to FMCSA regulations and local traffic ordinances
- Coordinate with dispatch teams for efficient route optimization and load security
- Handle hazardous materials shipments with DOT-certified procedures when required
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery and pickup interactions
- Maintain clean driving record and report maintenance issues promptly
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record (3+ years experience)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and operate loading equipment
- Strong knowledge of Bay Area geography and nighttime navigation
- Pass DOT physical and substance screening requirements
- Flexibility for variable shift schedules and occasional weekend work
- Excellent time management and problem-solving abilities
- Willingness to work in all weather conditions
