Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles during night shifts across Michigan and Virginia routes
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate DOT logs
- Handle time-sensitive freight delivery with zero-tolerance for delays
- Adhere to FMCSA regulations and company safety protocols
- Collaborate with dispatch for real-time route optimization
- Secure cargo and maintain vehicle cleanliness standards
- Respond professionally to emergency delivery scenarios
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean MVR (no major violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Night shift availability (10 PM - 6 AM schedule)
- Pass DOT physical and random drug screening
- Proficient in electronic logging devices (ELD)
- Hazmat endorsement preferred but not required
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in all weather conditions
- Strong route knowledge for Michigan/Virginia corridors
