Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A CDL) to transport freight across Louisiana and surrounding states
- Perform daily vehicle inspections, pre-trip checks, and basic maintenance
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and electronic logging device (ELD) records
- Coordinate with dispatch team to ensure timely deliveries and route optimization
- Adhere to all DOT regulations, safety protocols, and company policies
- Provide exceptional customer service during loading/unloading and delivery interactions
- Assist in freight handling and secure cargo according to industry standards
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years of verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Current DOT medical certificate and ability to pass pre-employment drug screen
- Knowledge of DOT regulations and safe driving practices
- Strong navigation skills with familiarity with Louisiana geography
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying weather conditions
- Excellent time management and communication skills
- High school diploma or equivalent required
