Responsibilities
- Operate commercial vehicles (Class A CDL) for local and regional routes within Tennessee and surrounding states
- Safely transport freight while adhering to DOT regulations and company safety protocols
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, documenting any maintenance needs
- Load/unload cargo with proper handling techniques to prevent damage
- Maintain accurate delivery records and electronic logging (ELD)
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding shipment status
- Represent the company professionally with customers and at delivery sites
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 1 year verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Familiarity with Memphis metro area and surrounding highways
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various weather conditions
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills
- Basic knowledge of freight documentation and electronic logging systems
- Must be at least 23 years old
