Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles to transport freight on established routes
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance logs
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations and company safety protocols
- Plan efficient delivery routes while meeting strict deadlines
- Communicate professionally with dispatch, clients, and warehouse staff
- Secure and properly handle specialized freight (temperature-controlled, hazardous materials)
- Document delivery paperwork and resolve delivery discrepancies
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Proficient in using electronic logging devices (ELD)
- Strong knowledge of Kentucky roadways and interstate systems
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying weather conditions
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills
- Previous hazardous materials endorsement preferred
