Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles to transport freight between warehouses, distribution centers, and client sites
- Perform pre-trip inspections and document vehicle maintenance requirements
- Coordinate with logistics team to ensure timely deliveries and accurate documentation
- Load/unload shipments with proper handling techniques and equipment operation
- Maintain electronic logs and comply with DOT regulations and company policies
- Communicate delivery status and address any route challenges proactively
- Represent Coastal Logistics Solutions professionally at all client interactions
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Minimum 1 year commercial driving experience
- Clean driving record with no major violations in past 3 years
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly and operate loading equipment
- Strong time management and route optimization skills
- Basic familiarity with GPS navigation and electronic logging devices
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and occasional holidays
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities
