Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial motor vehicles (CMVs) in accordance with DOT regulations and company policies.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance.
- Load and unload cargo using forklifts, pallet jacks, and manual handling equipment.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and delivery receipts (E-Logs).
- Ensure cargo is secure and protected from damage during transit.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers to resolve issues promptly.
- Keep the truck clean and well-maintained at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid CDL Class A or Class B license (with appropriate endorsements, if required).
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) with no major violations.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws, road conditions, and safety procedures.
- Basic math skills for inventory and cash handling.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends as needed.
