Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A or B) to deliver goods to designated locations in Los Angeles and surrounding areas.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, and company safety policies.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the truck and cargo are secure.
- Load and unload freight efficiently using appropriate equipment (pallet jacks, forklifts, etc.).
- Maintain accurate logs (ELD) and documentation, including delivery receipts and bill of lading.
- Provide exceptional customer service by representing Apex Logistics professionally during deliveries.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and logistics teams regarding schedules and route changes.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or Class B with the required endorsements.
- A clean driving record with no major violations within the last 3-5 years (depending on insurance carrier).
- Must be at least 21 years of age to operate a commercial vehicle across state lines (if applicable) or within California.
- Strong knowledge of California traffic laws and highway systems.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Physical ability to load/unload cargo and perform repetitive motions.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including early mornings, nights, and weekends.
