Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks and trailers in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure equipment is in safe operating condition.
- Load and secure cargo accurately to prevent damage and ensure safe transport.
- Complete all required documentation, including electronic logging devices (ELD) and delivery receipts, accurately and on time.
- Maintain a clean driving record and demonstrate a commitment to safety and compliance.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL Class A) required.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience preferred.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT Physical).
- Pass a comprehensive background check and drug screen.
- Ability to read and comprehend maps, delivery routes, and safety regulations.
- Strong communication skills and a customer-service oriented attitude.
