Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks safely and efficiently within the Boston metro area and surrounding regions.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT regulations.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper weight distribution and securing of goods.
- Maintain accurate daily logs using Electronic Logging Devices (ELD) and adhere to Hours of Service (HOS) rules.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and route changes.
- Ensure the truck cab and cargo area are kept clean and organized at all times.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety policies.
Qualifications
- Must possess a valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or B (or be willing to obtain one).
- Must pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Clean driving record with no major traffic violations on record.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and work in various weather conditions.
- Strong commitment to safety, punctuality, and customer service.
- Valid state ID or Driver's License.
