Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A CDL) for regional routes within North Carolina and surrounding states
- Adhere to strict DOT regulations, safety protocols, and delivery schedules
- Perform pre-trip inspections, basic maintenance checks, and accurate logging of hours
- Load/unload freight securely and verify shipment documentation
- Communicate effectively with dispatch team and customers regarding delivery status
- Maintain clean driving record and comply with company policies
- Provide exceptional customer service during all delivery interactions
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 1 year of tractor-trailer experience preferred
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in various weather conditions
- Strong navigation skills and familiarity with electronic logging devices (ELD)
- Excellent time management and route optimization abilities
- Valid HazMat endorsement (or willingness to obtain)
- Must pass comprehensive background check
