Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (trucks/trailers) to transport goods on designated routes
- Perform pre-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance logs
- Adhere to all DOT regulations and safety protocols while driving
- Coordinate with dispatch team for route adjustments and delivery confirmations
- Load/unload freight with proper handling techniques and equipment
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery interactions
- Document delivery status and handle any shipment discrepancies
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Minimum 1 year verifiable CDL driving experience
- Clean MVR with no major violations in past 3 years
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Knowledge of Louisiana roadways and delivery zones
- Strong commitment to safety and punctuality
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various weather conditions
- Basic computer literacy for electronic logging and communication
