Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles over long distances
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations and safety protocols
- Maintain accurate electronic logging system (ELD) records
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Coordinate with dispatch for efficient route planning
- Handle freight loading/unloading with proper documentation
- Represent Swift professionally with all stakeholders
Qualifications
- Valid CDL Class A license (required)
- Minimum 1 year verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Clean MVR with no major violations in past 3 years
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
- Flexibility for irregular schedules and overnight travel
- Basic knowledge of freight types and securement
- Strong communication and time-management skills
