Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A or B) to transport goods to designated locations on time.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Load and unload cargo efficiently while adhering to weight limits and securing loads properly.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and delivery paperwork.
- Navigate long-distance routes while adhering to all traffic laws and company driving policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status and any issues.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or B (Must meet state requirements).
- Clean driving record with no more than one major moving violation in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical exam and drug screen.
- Previous driving experience in a professional environment.
- Strong understanding of traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Basic computer literacy for logging and reporting.
