Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A/B) for regional and long-haul deliveries
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations and company safety protocols
- Perform pre-trip inspections and basic vehicle maintenance checks
- Plan efficient routes while meeting strict delivery timeframes
- Accurately document trip logs, delivery confirmations, and incident reports
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding shipment status
- Maintain clean driving record and professional appearance
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Clean driving record with no major violations in past 3 years
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate loading equipment
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening requirements
- Knowledge of Maryland roadways and regional geography
- Strong time-management and problem-solving skills
- HAZMAT certification preferred (training provided if needed)
