Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to all traffic laws and company safety policies.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the truck and trailer are in optimal condition.
- Load and unload cargo accurately, securing loads properly to prevent damage during transit.
- Prepare and maintain accurate delivery documentation, including bills of lading and delivery receipts.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any delays.
- Adhere to strict DOT regulations and company procedures regarding Hours of Service (HOS).
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A or B required.
- Current Medical Card and DOT Physical examination certificate.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable driving experience in the last 3 years.
- Clean driving record with no more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screen.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
- Basic mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor vehicle issues.
