Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (tractor-trailers) for local and regional routes
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations and company safety protocols
- Load/unload freight efficiently and verify documentation
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections and basic vehicle maintenance
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and paperwork
- Provide exceptional customer service during client interactions
- Collaborate with dispatch team to optimize delivery schedules
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying weather conditions
- Strong knowledge of Virginia Beach metro area and regional routes
- Excellent time management and communication skills
