Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles to transport freight on designated routes
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and ensure vehicle maintenance compliance
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations and company safety protocols
- Manage delivery documentation and electronic logging systems
- Provide exceptional customer service during loading/unloading operations
- Maintain accurate delivery records and report any incidents promptly
- Collaborate with dispatch team for efficient route optimization
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years commercial driving experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Familiarity with Hazmat materials handling (preferred)
- Strong knowledge of North Carolina road networks
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly
- Flexibility for overnight trips and weekend shifts
