Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles for regional routes in North Carolina
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations and company safety protocols
- Plan efficient delivery routes while maintaining on-time performance
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections and document maintenance requirements
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding delivery status
- Secure cargo and maintain proper loading/unloading procedures
- Utilize electronic logging systems (ELD) for accurate record-keeping
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Knowledge of North Carolina roadways and regulations
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various weather conditions
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills
- Basic understanding of freight documentation
