Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles to transport goods within Louisville metro area and regional routes
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and ensure DOT compliance for all vehicle operations
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation using electronic logging systems
- Collaborate with dispatch team for efficient route planning and on-time deliveries
- Load/unload cargo with proper equipment handling protocols
- Adhere to strict safety standards and defensive driving practices
- Communicate effectively with clients and team members regarding delivery status
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable commercial driving experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Familiarity with Louisville metro area and regional highway systems
- Strong commitment to safety and regulatory compliance
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying weather conditions
- Excellent time management and communication skills
- Flexibility for early morning starts and occasional overnight trips
