Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks (Class A or B) in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT regulations and safety standards.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring cargo integrity and weight distribution are correct.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and all required documentation, including bills of lading and delivery receipts.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and team members to ensure timely delivery and customer satisfaction.
- Conduct routine vehicle maintenance checks and report any mechanical issues immediately.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable commercial driving experience preferred.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (MEC) and DOT drug screen clear.
- Must possess a clean driving record (MVR) with no major violations in the last 3-5 years.
- Ability to pass a background check and DOT physical examination.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Familiarity with GPS navigation systems and electronic logging devices.
