Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles to deliver freight to designated locations in a timely and efficient manner.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance and report any mechanical issues immediately.
- Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment, ensuring cargo security and weight distribution.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date logbooks (ELD) and delivery paperwork in compliance with DOT regulations.
- Interact professionally with customers, vendors, and warehouse personnel to ensure high service standards.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, company policies, and safety protocols at all times.
Qualifications
- Must possess a valid and current Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or Class B.
- Must have a clean driving record (no more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years).
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination and drug screen.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Strong time management skills with the ability to meet strict delivery deadlines.
- Basic mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor vehicle issues is preferred.
