Responsibilities
- Safe Operation: Operate commercial trucks and trailers safely and efficiently across regional and long-haul routes.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT regulations and identify potential issues early.
- Cargo Handling: Load and unload cargo accurately and securely, adhering to proper weight distribution and securing techniques.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, including electronic logging devices (ELD), delivery receipts, and bills of lading.
- Compliance: Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, FMCSA regulations, and company safety policies at all times.
- Customer Service: Communicate professionally with dispatch, customers, and team members to resolve delivery issues and ensure satisfaction.
Qualifications
- License: Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record (MVR).
- Medical: Current DOT medical card and drug screen certification.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable truck driving experience preferred.
- Skills: Ability to operate different types of trailers (Dry Van, Reefer, Flatbed).
- Availability: Flexibility to work varied schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Physical: Ability to lift heavy objects and meet the physical requirements of the position.
