Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A/B CDL) across New York and regional routes
- Adhere to DOT regulations, HOS compliance, and meticulous logbook documentation
- Inspect vehicles before/after trips to ensure mechanical safety and compliance
- Coordinate with dispatch for efficient loading, unloading, and route optimization
- Maintain positive customer relationships through professional on-time deliveries
- Report maintenance issues and participate in preventative programs
- Utilize telematics systems for real-time tracking and route adjustments
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable commercial driving experience
- Pass pre-employment drug screen, background check, and DOT physical
- Proficiency in electronic logging devices (ELD) and GPS navigation
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate loading equipment safely
- Strong knowledge of New York traffic laws and highway systems
- Excellent time management and communication skills
- Willingness to work flexible schedules including nights/weekends
