Responsibilities
- Operate commercial Class A vehicles in a safe and timely manner to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to verify vehicle safety and compliance with DOT regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of hours of service (HOS), delivery logs, and mileage using electronic logging devices (ELD).
- Load and unload freight securely, ensuring cargo is protected from damage during transit.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies while driving.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery times and any route changes.
- Represent Horizon Transport Logistics professionally at all times, maintaining a clean driving record and professional appearance.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A with a clean driving record (MVR check required).
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Current DOT medical card and physical.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Strong knowledge of interstate and intrastate traffic laws and regulations.
- Basic mechanical aptitude to troubleshoot minor vehicle issues.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.
