Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks and delivery vans safely and efficiently according to DOT regulations.
- Load and unload cargo using proper equipment, ensuring safety and security.
- Maintain accurate logs, records, and documentation (DVIR, bills of lading).
- Navigate delivery routes effectively to ensure on-time arrivals.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to identify potential issues.
- Interact professionally with customers and resolve delivery issues as they arise.
- Adhere to all company policies, safety protocols, and traffic laws.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Must possess a clean driving record (MVR) with no major violations in the last 3-5 years.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience preferred.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Strong understanding of DOT Hours of Service (HOS) regulations.
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for extended periods.
- Must be willing to travel throughout North Carolina and surrounding states.
