Responsibilities
- Coordinate Fleet Operations: Assign and dispatch CDL drivers to appropriate loads based on location, cargo type, and driver availability.
- Client Communication: Act as the primary point of contact for customers, providing updates on shipment status and estimated arrival times.
- Logistics Management: Verify delivery paperwork, manage freight bills, and ensure all regulatory compliance is met.
- Problem Solving: Troubleshoot route delays, mechanical issues, or traffic incidents to get drivers back on the road quickly.
- Data Entry: Maintain accurate records of daily driver logs, fuel logs, and delivery manifests in our dispatch management system.
- Support Drivers: Provide clear instructions and roadside assistance coordination to ensure driver safety and satisfaction.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma: or equivalent required.
- Reliable Internet Connection: Essential for remote communication with drivers and clients.
- Basic Computer Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn dispatch software quickly.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with drivers and clients effectively.
