Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial motor vehicles (Class A or B) in accordance with Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations (FMCSR).
- Load and unload freight, ensuring cargo is secured properly and safely.
- Verify delivery accuracy and obtain necessary signatures or proof of delivery.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting any mechanical issues immediately.
- Maintain a clean and organized cab and cargo area.
- Adhere to all company policies, safety procedures, and traffic laws at all times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery updates.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A or Class B required.
- Current DOT Medical Card.
- Clear Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) with no major violations in the last 3-5 years.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand for extended periods.
- Basic knowledge of GPS and navigation systems.
- Strong customer service skills and a professional demeanor.
