Responsibilities
- Operate commercial tractor-trailers in a safe, legal, and professional manner on regional routes, including Florida and Texas.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical integrity and safety compliance.
- Load and unload cargo using forklifts or dollies, ensuring all freight is properly secured and documented.
- Maintain accurate records using electronic logging devices (ELD) and adhere strictly to Hours of Service (HOS) regulations.
- Interact professionally with dispatch, customers, and third-party logistics partners.
- Report mechanical issues and road hazards immediately to management.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A required (out-of-state licenses are accepted).
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no more than one preventable accident in the last 3 years.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable tractor-trailer driving experience.
- Must be at least 21 years of age for interstate commerce.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination (Medical Card required).
- Strong understanding of DOT regulations, safety procedures, and traffic laws.
